On the occasion of the Settimana della lingua italiana, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève will host a conference by Marco Rainò, followed by a one night exhibition of Nucleo, an Italian collective of artists and designers at the Project Space.
7 P.M. DESIGN ITALIANO: POETICHE CONTEMPORANEE A CONFERENCE BY MARCO RAINÒ (IN ITALIAN)
Marco Rainò proposes a reflection on contemporary Italian design, which aims at identifying the characteristics of “Made in Italy” products across the world.
His talk will rely on the greatest personalities of contemporary Italian design, who not only create objects fulfilling specific formal requirements, but also bring symbolic value to their productions.
8 P.M. VISIT OF NUCLEO’S EXHIBITION AT THE PROJECT SPACE
Using design as a field of experimentation, contamination and reformulation of languages, Nucleo offers a selection of their iconic works: from the famous “Primitive” series to their more recent research, from series “Assenze” (absence), “Souvenir of the last centuries” and “Sea Sunset”.
These three sets of works will be presented through 31 unique objects, exhibited for the occasion.
This event is organized under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Geneva.
