The Boolean project is a participatory artistic action that transforms users’ selfies into a series of minimalist sculptures. Nine distinct Instagram filters are used to create virtual sculptures that may be superimposed on user or real sculpture faces, and on paintings as well. These filters are created in black and white and follow the rules of Boolean logic. We chose to base each filter on the proportions of classical Greek and Roman busts.
