Sistemi di supporto al verde is a collection of products developed to support the growth of greenery into domestic gardens for Plastica Alfa, a sicilian company leader in the in the field of plastics processing for the irrigation, plumbing, water treatment, thermohydraulics and firefighting sectors.

Considering climate change issues, and the plastic materials used by the company, we defined as main aim of the project to enhance the key extruded product of Plastica Alfa, the pipe – developed and marketed by the company to perform irrigation functions – by making it emerge from underground to become visible and the main constituent element of the outdoor furniture objects designed (pergola, portal, freestanding espalier, wall espalier), in order to optimize production processes as well as materials, and consumption too.

The design of the elements is based on a module established according to the criteria of minimal material consumption, as well as minimal visual clutter, sufficient for the objects to perform their proper functions and to support the plants. The hardware used for connections between the transverse and vertical elements is minimal, minute and suitable for the outdoor context.
