The light of Lisbon, the immaterial icon of the city, takes here a double form: on one hand it thickens with some colors of the light spectrum in the shape of a dancing body, on the other hand the entire composition draws a sardine, whose eye corresponds to the dancer’s chignon.
The sardine becomes then a symbol of life, both on Earth, where it dances in the sunlight, and into the Sea, where it bathes freely in the brightened waters (by using the image upside-down).
